Nosotros would like to take a moment to discuss some of our upcoming plans as well as how our Weapon residual philosophy will be changing in Caldera. We volition be looking to take on a more incremental approach to Weapon nerfs. Nosotros understand it tin can be frustrating to commit a peachy deal of time to a Weapon to have its viability completely stripped in an unexpected remainder patch. Nosotros would like to reiterate that our north star is Weapon diversity. With that being said, we feel information technology is appropriate to announce that in the about future nosotros will be making some adjustments to the Lite Machine Gun Charlie (VG) and the Submachine Gun Charlie (VG) - with the intent of endmost the gap between these two Weapons and their competitors. In add-on, we will be toning downwardly what is oftentimes referred to as 'Visual Recoil' on Vanguard Assail Rifles. We feel this will aid promote a healthier, more various pool of mid to long-range Weapons.

The Akimbo Double Barrel (VG) was able to consistently achieve lethality at extreme ranges. While nosotros hold that Shotguns should be the most lethal option within close quarters, once that range begins to encroach on Submachine Gun territory, we must intervene. It may seem peculiar that we are removing the Damage Range downside from the Attachment given previous statements, however a more than significant reduction to its overall Damage will make the Akimbo Double Butt (VG) feel less oppressive at extreme ranges while maintaining its effectiveness in close quarters.

Weapon Adjustments
When considering these changes in a vacuum, they may seem rather peculiar. Due to the nature of Vanguard Weapons, tuning is much less straightforward. Adjustments to base Weapons are not as impactful every bit they in one case were. Vanguard Attachments can completely modify the behavior of a Weapon—including its Impairment profile, Fire Rate, and Recoil. When nosotros brand these adjustments, we are considering the Weapon holistically, in all its permutations. As stated above, changes to Weapons and Attachments are non quite what they used to exist. While we are reducing the amount of Recoil Command provided by these Barrels, this can hands be compensated for with other Attachments like Fore and Rear Grips. It may crave popular builds to shift around somewhat, and as a result, other downsides like poor Mobility may become more than apparent. We experience balancing risk versus reward is important.
